DK <sin> by JM Santandreu
Recording session DK <sin>
version for clarinet solo
During the days 26th to 29th of June, the DK <projection> will coproduce the CD recording of Sound of the Clarinet – DarK Sound Clarinet for Electroacoustic Music, a new release by the Spanish clarinet player JM Santandreu in collaboration with the Art of Sound Department of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, leaded by the eminent sound engineer Paul Jeukendrup.
This project tackles the first recording ever of a version for clarinet solo of Ángel Arranz’s piece DK <sin>, and it includes around twenty recent pieces by laureate and renowned contemporary composers.
DarK Sound Clarinet also tries to add an extra atmosphere around the electronic music world, inasmuch as different locations and studios directly related with the electronic music world were carefully chosen, such as Aula de Electroacústica in Valencia, Phonos Foundation in Barcelona (ES) and the Institute of Sonology in The Hague (NL).
The CD means to be released next Fall/Winter 2012.
