at Quincena Musical Donostiarra
The next August 29th Josetxo Silguero and The DK <projection> meet in a very special concert at Quincena Musical Donostiarra – San Sebastián (ES). This notorious institution pays tribute to the saxophone player, one of the greatest exponents at contemporary music panorama.
The program is sorted by an interesting repertoire carefully chosen for this occasion, ranging from the Grisey’s spectralism to the Bedrossian’s saturationism, passing through to Posadas’ sonic fractal universe and Arranz’ sinusoidal deconstruction. This proposal is reinforced with two exceptional premieres by Javier Quislant and Félix Ibarrondo.
As was to be expected, this magnificent, demanding solo repertoire finds a natural aesthetical space, in which electronic music and digital arts pervade whilst establishing a bridge between performance and new technologies.
The Ciclo de Música Contemporánea of Quincena Musical de San Sebastián will present four concerts more from 28th August to 1st September by the pianist Alfonso Gómez, Ensemble l’Instant Donné, Ensemble Recherche and Arditti Quartet.
