Ángel Arranz orchestrates Yagüe’s piece for piano solo Halley 2
Ángel Arranz has started the commission of orchestrating one important piece for piano solo by Alejandro Yagüe: Halley 2. Yagüe proceeds in this piece in a pretty original way, inasmuch as generating its melodic and harmonic material. The piece is articulated in four movements or fantazias and each movement takes, as a numeric reference, one different year in which the eponymous comet has passed over the Earth. In turn, Yagüe establishes a correspondence between each one of the cyphers of each year with a musical note of the twelve-tone scale, achieving that each year generates a distinct harmonic material.
